NewCold, one of the world’s leading automated cold chain logistics companies, identified Canada as a key growth market to meet increasing demand for modern cold storage infrastructure.

Spanier Group was engaged to support NewCold’s entry into Canada, providing strategic advisory services related to site selection, land acquisition, approvals, stakeholder engagement, and development planning. Leveraging our market knowledge and industry relationships, Spanier Group helped identify and secure a site in Guelph, Ontario that met NewCold’s operational and development requirements.

Building on this work, Spanier Group subsequently supported NewCold’s expansion into Alberta, advising on site selection, land acquisition, planning approvals, and government incentive opportunities to advance another major logistics investment. Construction commenced in 2024, with the facility becoming operational in 2025, demonstrating the successful execution of a project that progressed from strategic site selection and acquisition through to delivery and operation.
